i’m looking at future careers and colleges, and what i really want to do is field research with whitetail deer (hunting equipment business? deer ranch management? writing books?) how would i get into this? is there a college with specific classes or anything like that? any info would be great!

try agriculture
If you want to do research, you want to get a degree in biology, zoology, or wildlife biology. There’s plenty of colleges that offer the curriculum you’re looking for. Unless you find just the right one, you probably won’t be doing much with deer until you get into grad school. But on the plus side, because deer are economically important (the hunting angle plus the damage they do when populations get out of control) there is usually research funds for studies involving deer.
How’s your bio grades? And take all the math classes you can. Bio research is heavy on the statistics.
look at technical or junior colleges for parks and rec, field biology, and or zoology classes-learn the established techniques for studying and managing these animals-talk to the people you meet who are already working in this field-and offer some volunteer help-that will give you the best insight into what part of the research would suit you best and give you some good ideas,(and contacts), to help get you there.
