My son hunts with both rifle and bow. He hunts deer but has been given a Christmas “hunt for elk”. Is there any equipment he would be grateful to have for this hunt? He wants to try and get the elk with his bow and mentioned arrows but I know nothing about them. I can’t afford an expensive rifle but maybe I could find a used one. Any help from experienced hunters would be appreciated.

Hey, Fred here

Welcome to The Great & Experience.

I’ve been hunting & Elk for over 35 years. It never gets boring. Most of my hunting has been in the Colorado and Montana mountains.  I’ve met some great people along the way. From guides and outfitters to the great local folks that reside in the areas I’ve hunted.

Sometime ago I decide to create a place where deer and elk hunters could visit and enjoy stories and adventures of other hunters. Get the “secrets” and tips from professional guides and  hunters.  And, learn about some of the great places to go for a great or .
